I have scoliosis since 10 years old, so I came here in 2016 for some resolution to my back pain, thankfully I came and Dr Choo attended to my issues. Since then, I have been visiting family chiropractic for regular monthly maintenance with Dr Mark, and it has been wonderful.

I’ve been coming here for chiropractic sessions for about 3 years now, and the experience has always been excellent. Dr Chong is very attentive and detailed when it comes to understanding my body issues. She always listens carefully and adjusts the treatment according to what I need at each visit. Every time I come for a session, I feeling incredibly relaxed, and the tension and pressure in my body are significantly relieved. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a caring and professional chiro. ?

My friend recommended me this clinic which is at near to where I stay as I have a relapse of slip disc. I use to visit another doctor but decided to give this clinic a try and I am glad I did. The staffs are extremely friendly and helpful. As for the doctor, don’t judge by her build. She is really skillful and knowledgeable. Attempting different techniques to relief the pain. Now I come back every month to release the tension. Neighborhood pricing with 5 star treatment / equipment. Thank you Family Chiropractic!! Kudos to Dr Choo and staffs for your care to my family.

“Stress and Headaches are intricately interrelated.”

“Stress and Headaches are intricately interrelated.”

headacheStress, as a crude definition, is conceptualized as an imbalance between a demand, and the resources to handle demand, that are commonly manifested by psycho-physiological arousal (hormonal and neural).

This imbalance fatigues the body and result in a strain on the system, thus leading to malfunctioning and dis-ease in the body. For decades, chiropractors have been emphasizing the importance of the various types of stressors contributed to our health and well being.

Researches showed that stress is most frequently reported precipitant in headache attack, with more than 90% of patients claimed that stress affects at least some degree of their headache.

Stress does not only contribute to headache disorder in those predisposed individuals, but also trigger or worsen individual headache episodes in those with headache, and exacerbate the progression of a headache disorder, from an episodic to chronic condition.

7 ways to relieve stress-related headache

  • Take responsibilities of your health!
  • Visit a chiropractor.

Chiropractors can perform gentle spinal adjustments to correct impairments that may be causing your headaches.

  • Re-evaluate your lifestyle. A poor diet, not enough sleep and exercise, and stress, can all make you unwell.
  • Get a massage. Whether it’s a friend rubbing your shoulders or a professional working your entire body, soft tissue manipulation relieves muscle tension and releases feel-good hormones.
  • Visit a naturopath and try herbal remedies. They are considered to have value for getting rid of headaches
  • Drink plenty of water. Dehydration can lead to a headache. Drink a tall glass of water as soon as your head starts to hurt, and try to continue drinking small sips throughout the day.
  • Practice relaxation techniques. People around the world use a variety of tricks to distract themselves from pain. If you’re in the midst of a headache, don’t worry about learning something new — stick to whatever is closest to your comfort zone.
